Personal Experience

He has worked with leading cement and building product material industries such as UltraTech cement ltd, Holcim-Ambuja cement ltd; Robo silicon Pvt Ltd, RMC Readymix ltd.

He has more than 30 years of experience in Aggregate and sand industries and one of few in the country who was responsible for setting up aggregate in India. His area of expertise are Aggregate Strategy, Aggregate Operations & AGC marketing, Project & maintenance, Fly-ash marketing, Project & maintenance, Ready mix concrete.

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering (B.E) from Mumbai University, Sanjay earned post-graduation diploma in Industrial Safety. As a young mechanical engineer he joined BASF and then Asian paints as maintenance manager. After gaining experience in project maintenance a great new opportunity came along at Clariant as Project manager. This is where he understood the workings of a corporate organization and the complexities involved in managing different projects thereby strengthening his management skills. His project management skills took him to work for RMC Readymix (India) Pvt. Ltd. in 2000.

From General Manager (Operations) in 2000 to Vice President in 2008, he helmed the organization and the fledgling industry. The vast experience made Sanjay a natural choice for Robo Silicon pvt. Ltd. as Chief Operating Officer (Aggregate business) in 2009. He then went on to work for Ambuja Cement as Sr. Vice President (Aggregate and New Business) and then for UltraTech Cement as Vice President-Head (Aggregate Business).

Due to his rich experience in aggregates and business development, he has been a visiting faculty in IIT Bombay to Mtech and Btech students for inculcating his valuable knowledge.
